Frake

Frake

Over the last few years we’ve faced some real lows in the band. It evidently trickled into our personal lives. "Frake" to me symbolizes forgiveness. Recognizing the good in front of you, and deciding to choose it. It includes friendships, relationships, and the band. I wanted to mend what had been tarnished. I wanted to say sorry and let’s not give up on what we had. This to me encompasses the theme of the album. Pushing through the struggle, and getting back to what is good. Moving to London has reconfigured the DNA of our music, exposing us to sounds and genres that were brand new to us. It showed us a context that immerses you in electronic music in a way completely different to our home. The club scene in London is completely unique, and was life changing. All of this, and the energy of moving to London inspired us to push our creative boundaries. The album seemed to fall out of us. Every time we got together in the studio we came home with a song we loved. This album feels more like us than anything we’ve ever made.
