Colorful, shiny, funky – thats how German saxophonist Carl Krämer described the images that the music of his High-Energy Glamour Fusion Jazz sextet Carli Kream aims to evoke. The composition Sweets (performed 2023 in Tübingen) was inspired by: 1) a certain drum groove (which ultimately has nothing to do with the actual groove of the piece), 2) the track Maxi’s Taxi by Carli Kream’s pianist Tobias Altripp, 3) the act of eating sweets. For the lyrics, Carl collaborated with singer Seyda Sibel.
