Cloud Formations

Taylor Swindells started writing music under Neighborhood Libraries in 2020 as a response to the pandemic, drawing from various ambient and neo-classical influences in an effort to preserve mental health and offer fleeting moments of tranquility. On the inspiration behind the piece, Swindells explains: "The weather seems to loom larger and larger as the old patterns veer off course to whatever this new normal becomes. A documentary on clouds was on while working on this piece. There was so little drama around it which was oddly refreshing. Pulsing synths try to hold the patterns together as guitars swirling atmospheres mimic formations gathering into an ethereal cloud."
