Italian producer Sciahri arrives on Monument with a four-tracker that is best experienced with the whole body on a dark dancefloor. While opening up with a spacious roller, the EP traverses different paces bound together by an undercurrent of bleak, but driving grooves, constantly spiraling further into the depths of the dancefloor. Simultaneously, the distorted and twisted textures of Sciahri’s clear-cut production style makes this a record of introspection, sending us off with a vibrating half-time finale on the B-side.
