INVERNKA is Smokingskul’s fifth album. The title of this project is a direct translation for the word “influence” in Swedish. The album would be distributed by INFINITI Recordings. This acts as a direct follow up to his latest album, smoke carter 3 in February 2025. This album entirely revolves around the influence Skul has brought to underground music, highlighting the abrasive 808’s and distorted production that’s taken over the scene in the past few years. His imprint began with the boolymon-produced track “light 2”, on their collaborative project bicephaly in March 2022. Skul labels INVERNKA as “ear-bleed” music, and more of a brand outside of an album. He’s discussed and began publicly sharing the album’s creative process as early as July 2025, and into September 2025, mainly through an alternate Instagram page and his social medias.
